Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn, and alongside my husband Jake, we’ve been on a journey to grow our family. What we thought would be a natural, joyful chapter of our lives has instead been filled with waiting, doctor’s appointments, tears, and learning how strong hope can be.

Recently, we learned why conceiving has been so difficult, I have a blocked fallopian tube. Hearing those words was devastating because it means our chances of becoming pregnant naturally are very small. For a long time, I carried the weight of wondering why this was happening to us. But now, we have some answers, and more importantly, we have a path forward: IVF.

Jake and I are both teachers, and every day we give our hearts to the kids in our classrooms. We encourage them to dream big, to work hard, and to believe in themselves. And now, we’re holding onto those same lessons for ourselves, dreaming of the day we get to hold our own baby in our arms.

The reality, though, is that IVF comes with a cost that feels overwhelming for us. Teaching is our calling, not a career that comes with extra financial wiggle room. That’s why I’m reaching out and asking for help, something that doesn’t come easy for me. But I know that this dream of becoming a mom is worth humbling myself and leaning on the love of others.

If you feel led to contribute, please know that every single dollar, every share of this fundraiser, and every encouraging word brings us closer to making our dream come true. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of our journey and for helping us believe that one day, we’ll finally bring Baby Barclay home.

With love and gratitude,
Kaitlyn
